Ruutu undergoing season ending surgery
Carolina Hurricanes forward Tuomo Ruutu will undergo shoulder surgery on Thursday and miss the remainder of the regular season.

Hurricanes lose Ruutu, Whitney to injuries, recall Boychuk
The already depleted lineup of the Carolina Hurricanes will get even more depleted for at least the next few days as Tuomo Ruutu and Ray Whitney join Eric Staal and Erik Cole as injured Carolina Hurricanes. To counter act the injuries the Hurricanes have recalled Zach Boychuk from the AHL.
