An update on Calgary Flames defenseman Dion Phaneuf
So what exactly happens when a team wins four in a row? Well, the fans sure get excited. It looks like the Flames have turned it around – or have they?
Everyone knows I have been keeping a close eye on the Dion situation. I have heard so many different stories from many people. Well, the story takes a different angle today. Apparently the Flames are not the ones who want Dion out, though I suppose it could be mutual.

The one thing that really bothers me is this team’s inability to put in a solid third period lately. For the first two periods, the Flames were solid. Not spectacular, but solid defensively. Dion scored the only goal in the first two periods with a laser beam screen shot in the last second of the first period.
So what are the Flames going to do with Dion? They have plenty of choices. There are plenty of teams who would love to have him on their teams. Can you imagine life in Calgary without Dion? Can it really happen?
Randy Workman, our resident Flames blogger takes a look and gives us a recap on the Flames loss tonight in Colorado.
