Well welcome to this corner Habs fans, Leafs fans and Ducks fans. You’ve got prospects you have signed or are trying to sign who are absconding from the NCAA in the hopes of obtaining their goal of being pro hockey players.

The Q is beginning to fast lag behind the O and the Dub in terms of its status as a development league. That having been said, at first glance, this appears to be one of the stronger Q classes in years.
Some WHL watchers have said that this year’s WHL crop is comparable to the 1985 born crop that gave us Dion Phaneuf, Ryan Getzlaf, Brent Seabrook and Braydon Coburn among many others.

Safest Pick: Kent Simpson
The highly rated goaltender out of Everett was second in WHL save percentage as a seventeen year-old.
Best Pick: John Ramage
Ramage was good value where he was selected. He showcased himself very well at the World Juniors and has played very well, even in a fifth defenseman role, for the University of Wisconsin.
Best Pick: Tyler Seguin
Was there any doubt? There were those, and I was one of them, who felt that Tyler Seguin was the best player available in the Draft.

Well, the NHL Draft is over. Ten months of studying, watching, researching, and talking about prospects all wrapped up over the course of one weekend.
Stan Bowman is gonna try to hit the homerun and get someone with the high end skill potential to compliment Toews, Kane, Hossa and Sharp in the next few years.
The Ducks are back on the clock with the second first rounder that they acquired in the Chris Pronger trade from last year’s draft.
