Tom Hicks seeks to sell Dallas Stars

The Hicks Sports Group said today that the NHL team has retained Galatioto Sports Partners to look for new investors and explore the idea of selling a majority stake in the Stars, although the team president Jeff Cogen said a sale is not a certainty.

Is it Turco's time to pass the torch?

Is it Turco’s time to pass the torch?

Before you start, it has to be mentioned that this is more of a personal take on this subject and does not bare any weight on statistics or possible alternatives in the Dallas pipes.

Kovalchuk, Ovechkin to KHL?

Kovalchuk, Ovechkin to KHL?

Could the lure of $20 million a season cause Ilya Kovalchuk to leave the NHL and return home to play in the KHL?

At least one NHL general manager thinks it is possible.

For the record - Dallas Stars

For the record – Dallas Stars

There has been something of an absence of any concrete Stars news lately, besides a Turco trade rumor (it’s just that; a rumor) and the relentless pursuit of holding the record for most OT and SO losses in a regular season;

Insert your own Brett Hull pun

OK, OK so it’s old news now but for those of you who happen to have been visiting some distant planet for the last couple of days:

Brett Hull has been inducted into the Hockey Hall Of Fame.

Things to do without hockey. Part1.

The Dallas Stars do not play a game now until Thursday, November 12th against the San Jose Sharks. That’s four whole days without needing to run for the TV remote or look on nhl.com or the Stars site or even… dare I say it… Twitter.
