Torres days are numbered in Columbus
Blue Jackets general manager Scott Howson and the agent for unrestricted free agent Raffi Torres spoke during the Olympic break and were unable to reach an agreement on a contract extension, the Dispatch has learned. Torres almost certainly will be dealt by Wednesday’s trade deadline.
No surprise here, of course. Howson likes Torres — he’s been part of two organizations that traded for him — but the Jackets are anticipating the return of Nikita Filatov and are likely going to be spending money on rebuilding their blueline. Torres will finish the season with 20-plus goals and command an annual salary of anywhere from $1.75 million to $2.25 million.
The Olympic trade freeze end at 12:01 a.m. on Monday. It’s believed the Jackets are looking for at least a second-round pick for Torres.

I think his value will be a 2nd round pick or a 3rd + mid rid round pick.
