Parise a go for tomorrow, Olympics
The Devils decided not to practice today and had the players work out off the ice today. Both Zach Parise and Bryce Salvador were there and said they plan to play in Friday night’s game against Nasvhille.
Parise missed Wednesday night’s 3-2 overtime loss to the Flyers with a suspected stiff neck. Salvador was hit in and below his right eye with an unpenalized high stick from Philadelphia’s Mike Richards in the first period and missed the remainder of the game.
Salvador said he initially had some blurry vision, but his eye and orbital bone checked out OK and his vision is back to normal now. He said he will wear a visor Friday and plans to wear one for the rest of his career now after getting what he called a “warning shot.”
Parise said he would have practiced today if the coaches hadn’t decided to keep the players off the ice.
“I feel better today, a lot better,” he said. “I’ll be fine for tomorrow.”
Parise admitted he was “still pretty sore today.”

What’s that I hear?
A big sigh of relief for Team USA.
Great to see his injury was not a significant one, Zach Parise is top 10 forward in the NHL and one of the funnest player to watch.
