Christian Ehrhoff adjusting to Vancouver

Defenseman Christian Ehrhoff said he didn’t take it personally when the Sharks sent him packing to the Vancouver Canucks over the summer.
“I did understand it was a business decision, and the Sharks had to make that to free up some cap room,” said Ehrhoff, who faced his former teammates Sunday for the first time since the trade that enabled the Sharks to acquire Dany Heatley from the Ottawa Senators. “I had a great time in San Jose, and for me this is a new challenge.”
Ehrhoff had six goals and 17 points going into Sunday’s game, winning over the fans and media in hockey-hungry Vancouver.
Ehrhoff and Brad Lukowich were traded to the Canucks for two prospects in order to reduce San Jose’s payroll so the Sharks could acquire Heatley. Lukowich is now playing for the Texas Stars in the AHL.
It took Ehrhoff a while to adjust after playing 341 games with the Sharks.
