Ovechkin kicked out of game, right call?

Early in the 3rd period of tonight’s Capitals/Sabres game Alexander Ovechkin received a 5 minute major and a game misconduct after hitting Sabres forward Patrick Kaleta into the boards.
Here is the video of the play
Was the right call made?
Looks to me like he hit Kaleta in the shoulder and that sent him head into the boards.
Does anyone think he will be fined or suspended… personally I don`t but the play is fairly close to what James Neal did last week.
As much as i love what Ovechkin brings to the league, the NHL simply has to be consistent in the discipline they hand out. James Neal’s hit on Dorsett was rash, clumsy and deserved the 2 game ban.
Superstars need to set the example. These are the guys who kids worship growing up and they just can’t be seen to be getting away with this kind of play.
This however is the NHL, the very antithesis of consistency. He’ll probably end up with a $50 fine and asked to visit some sick kids as a punishment.
