Chicago Blackhawks make open offer

According to various twitter acounts, the Chicago Blackhawks have offered Brent Sopel and either a 2nd or 3rd round draft pick to the NHL for an upcoming Unrestricted Free Agent that would be coming off the books at the end of the season.

This, obviously, is for the cap issue and tagging rule heading into next season to finalize the Toews, Kane and Keith deals.
