Ian White’s hip check and fight with Eric Cole
Last night in the Toronto/Carolina game Ian White stepped up on Eric Cole and caught him with a beautiful hipcheck that sent Cole flying in the air. Cole then gets up and challenges White to a fight, White then proceeds to wreck Cole.
Very entertaining few minutes for Ian White, he was at the center of attention last night.
This hit, the fight, his bogus 4 minute penalty and a goal which everyone thought was the game winning goal.. Until everyone remember the Leafs don’t win.
The hit was clean, but the refs clearly missed out on another instigator.. Cole should have gotten 5 for fighting + 2 for instigating + 10 minute misconduct.
I hate this need to fight after CLEAN hits that has crept into the game. Fight after dirty hits – clean hits are part of the game. Get his number and hit him hard and clean later. So annoying.
Man, is white ever stepping up… How can you not love this guy…Yeah, great job by the refs…NOT!
but if you gotta work that hard to keep up with Carolina, then something aint right. You can’t pin it all on the refs. Is it just me or have they not been pretty brutal all season? The refs, that is…
