Leafs lose Mike Komisarek for 3 weeks

The injury bug has struck the Toronto Maple Leafs as they will be without Mike Komisarek for the next 3 weeks due to a quadriceps injury. Komisarek over the past 7-8 games has been the Leafs most dependable defensive player. The Leafs have called up Carl Gunnarson from the AHL to help fill the void.

Toronto Maple Leafs defenceman Mike Komisarek will miss the next three weeks with a pulled quadricep muscle.

The 27-year-old left early in the first period of Saturday’s win over the Detroit Red Wings.
