Hedman feeling better, but won’t play Saturday

After receiving a very hard hit from Ottawa Senators forward Chris Neil Tampa Bay Lightning 2nd overall pick and rookie defensemen Victor Hedman will not play Saturday night against the Montreal Canadiens as he is still feeling side effects from the hit.

Hedman was behind his own net up against  the boards and trying to make a pass to teammate Mattias Ohlund when Chris Neil connected with a major hit.

The hit was clean and there was no penalty on the play but Lightning forward Steve Downie came and to protect his teammate by going right after Chris Neil.
