Surpise starter, Carey Price in net tonight

Canadiens

In what I would consider a big surprise, Carey Price will start in goal for the Montreal Canadiens tonight against the Boston Bruins, not Jaroslav Halak.

Carey Price who last started on Tuesday night against Atlanta gave up 5 goals on 30 shots and the Canadiens lost 5-4. Price is 0-6 in his last six starts and is 2-6 on the season with a .883 SV% and a 3.63 GAA.

Jaroslav Halak on the other hand has won 5 of his last six starts and was last in goal on Saturday night and defeated the Maple Leafs in a shootout. Halak is 5-2 on the season and has a GAA of 2.75.

Halak has played much better and has led the team to victory more so than Price but why does Price keep getting the benefit of the doubt?

Even if Price wins tonight, shutouts the Bruins I will not be impressed, the Bruins are walking wounded and virtually have lost an entire first line (Lucic, Savard and Krejci)
