Illness in Illadelph

Flyers

The flu and injury bug has taken over the Philadelphia Flyers and they have had a limited amount of players at practice this week to prove it.

From Chuck Gormley’s blog post…

The Flyers conducted a limited practice Wednesday because of the flu.
Danny Briere, Matt Carle, Dan Carcillo, Arron Asham and Ryan Parent all missed practice because of flu symptoms and several others who were under the weather lugged themselves through practice.

The Flyers will practice again on Thursday before heading to Buffalo for Friday night’s game against the Sabres. They follow with a home game Saturday night against the St. Louis Blues.

John Stevens said Ray Emery will start Friday night’s game in Buffalo, but would not commit on a goalie for Saturday. After this weekend the Flyers close out November by playing 10 games in 17 days, meaning Brian Boucher will begin seeing some action.

Briere (quad) and Parent (groin) are doubtful for this weekend.
