Hockey promotion in the UK.

CTC

If you don;t already do so, you owe it to yourself as a hockey fan to follow Paul Kukla on Twitter (@kuklaskorner). Paul is a hockey blogger who often appears on nhl.com and has a reputation for being one of the most informed hockey writers out there and whose writing style can often be offbeat to say the least.

Further to a post he made some time back where he has decided to convert his female roommate into a die-hard hockey fan, I feel this could be the start of something huge, especially in terms of global recognition for the NHL brand.

It is to that end that I want to try and convert my dear darling wife into as vocal a hockey fan as I have become. The question I need answers to though my hockey brethren is: How? How do I take a woman who has shown no interest in any particular sport in all the time we’ve been together and turn her into the type of fan that fears missing out on their season ticket or demands to know the score as soon as she wakes up?
What makes this a little more tricky is the fact that we live in England where NHL coverage is limited at the very best and her only knowledge of the game so far is half the Dallas Stars roster (I wonder why that is…?), Wayne Gretzky and the fact that playing NHL games on any console makes her husband yell obscenities that he would never otherwise come out with?

I need your help here people. Let me know your thoughts.
