NHL suspends Byers, fines Tortorella hearing for O’Brien

The NHL has suspended New York Rangers Dan Byers for one game for his instigator in the last 5 minutes of the game last night against the Canucks. With that suspension comes an automatic $10,000 fine to head coach John Tortorella. The NHL has also scheduled a hearing for Canucks d-man Shane O’Brien for his altercation with Sean Avery while on the bench.
