More surgery for Kari Lehtonen, out 6-8 weeks

Atlanta Thrashers goaltender Kari Lehtonen will be sidelined another 6-8 weeks following another operation done on his back late last week. Lehtonen has been sidelined all season long because of previous surgeries.

Lehtonen, a former 2nd overall pick from the 2002 entry draft has been a strong goalie for the Thrashers while he is in the lineup but injuries have really hit him hard in his NHL career and he has faced setback after setback.

The Thrashers will ride Ondrej Pavelec even more now, which may not be a bad thing as he is 5-3-1 this season with a SV % of .920.
