if richards gets suspended mr campbell should be fired. The hit was clean, lead with shoulder, didnt leave his feet, and in my opinion the puck only left booth’s stick a little before he got hit, and should have not even been called interference. If you watch a whole hockey game you will see players hit other players 10x’s later than richards hit booth and none of them will get called for it. It was only cause booth was looking at his path that he got leveled. So RIchards should not be suspended for booth’s lack of awareness on the ice, nor should have he been penalized with a major and gotten the boot from the game. In my opinion the league is turning players away from making that big game changing hit. Players will have to think twice now when they catch someone with their head down, because they dont want to be suspended. Especially in the playoffs i think this is going to matter. When the enegery and intesity is at its highest somone will have a legal hit, but hurt someone, and get suspended during the playoffs, No player wants to be suspended then. So i guess we will see what affect all these suspensions have on the players.
pass* , not path.
