New York Islanders Gamenight 10/24

The New York Islanders host the Washington Capitals tonight at 7PM.  The Capitals have some injuries to some key players heading to the Island tonight, however, Alexander Ovechkin is not one of them.

Alexander Ovechkin admitted that he has yet to see John Tavares play but was quoted as saying: “He was taken 1st overall so he HAS to be good!”

Tonight, they will go up against each other as the top line linemates for their respective clubs.
If the Islanders plan to attempt gaining two points in tonight’s contest, Dwayne Roloson needs to stand tall between the pipes and the Islanders need to do all they can to stay out of the box and not let the Capitals capitalize with the man advantage.  Even without Alex Semin, the Caps PP is still very lethal.

Take it for what it’s worth.  This young Islanders club has a lot of learning and growing to do.  But hey, they have more wins then the Leafs do right now.  That’s a bright spot; not being the worst team in the league.
