Clash of the titans – Sharks pound Rangers
The Big Apple seems to have cured the San Jose Sharks.
The reigning Presidents’ Trophy winners lugged a two-game losing streak into New York over the weekend, but they’re leaving for Tampa with a two-game winning streak and enough confidence to close out their season-high six-game road trip in similar fashion.
After staking the Rangers a 2-0 lead 8:34 into the game, the Sharks scored six unanswered goals en route to a 7-3 victory that snapped the Rangers’ seven-game winning streak. San Jose beat the Islanders at Nassau Coliseum, 4-1, Saturday.
