Avalanche continue hot start with win in Detroit
What an amazing start, I knew Craig Anderson would do really well in Colorado but I did not expect players like Duchene and O’Reilly to have such a big impact so early.
Marek Svatos and Milan Hejduk scored shootout goals to give the Colorado Avalanche a 4-3 win over the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday night.
Colorado, which has won four straight, rallied from 2-0 and 3-2 deficits in the third period.
Cody McCleod had two goals, and Matt Duchene also scored for Colorado. Ryan O’Reilly recorded two assists and Craig Anderson stopped 29 shots.
