Jose Theodore expected to start against Sharks

Coach Bruce Boudreau said the Caps have a couple of players who are “banged up” and that’s why the team recalled Keith Aucoin from Hershey today. Whether Aucoin will suit up tonight as the Caps attempt to snap an 11-game losing streak vs. the Sharks, however, remains to be seen.

“It was more precaution than anything else,” Boudreau said.

When asked which players were ailing, Boudreau said, “You don’t need to know,” before adding, “There’s a good chance both of them will play.”

One of the hurting players is believed to be Boyd Gordon, who has battled a bad back the past couple of years.

Anyway, it sounds like Aucoin probably won’t play. And if he doesn’t, the lines are expected to look similar to yesterday’s.
