AHL Amerks to face off against Pirates at HSBC

Good opportunity for fans to see Sabres prospects!

The Buffalo Sabres announced Monday that the Rochester Americans will be the opponent for both regular-season visits by the Portland Pirates, their American Hockey League affiliate, to HSBC Arena in 2009-10.Portland and Rochester will meet for the first time in Buffalo on Nov. 12 at 7 p.m. The second meeting will be at 4 p.m. March 7. Ticket information for both games will be announced later.

The Pirates played their first game at HSBC Arena against the Albany River Rats on February 10. The game was attended by 11,144 fans, the largest crowd to ever witness a Pirates home game.
