Grier’s done with San Jose

Right wing Mike Grier, goalie Brian Boucher, defenseman Alexei Semenov and left wing Claude Lemieux all became unrestricted free agents today, and a team source said late Tuesday that none currently figures into San Jose’s plans.

The decision not to bring back Grier, 34, ends his three-year stretch as one of the Sharks’ top penalty killers and locker-room leaders. Over the past two seasons, though, he was slowed by knee injuries that caused him to miss 24 games
