Rob Blake re-signs in San Jose

Rob Blake won’t be testing the free agent waters on Wednesday, as the San Francisco Chronicle reports that the 39-year-old defenceman has signed a one-year contract with the San Jose Sharks worth approximately $3.5 million.

He spent last year with the San Jose Sharks, putting up 10 goals and 35 assists in 73 games.

Blake was drafted 70th overall by the Los Angeles Kings in the fourth round of the 1988 NHL Entry Draft, and has achieved several accolades over the last 20 NHL seasons.
