Agreed! But IMO the biggest need they have is HEALTH. 1000 mangames lost to injury over 2 seasons is unheard of, and that has GOT to change. The rest of it, spot on.

But I do not see them making big splashes in the free agent market or offer sheets. They have to sign a goalie who IMO needs to play at LEAST 30 games this season, maybe a winger, perhaps but not too likely a defenseman, and thats it. Garth is BIG on playing the kids, and I say thats whats gonna happen.

thanks for the heads up on Colliton, I wasn’t sure, and checked a lot of different sources.
thanks for the read as well, and i do agree, they do need that “franchise” type player, but they do have a lot of holes elsewhere as well.

time will tell how this isles club pans out, but it’s def. all systems go for a very bright future!

Excellent piece. Can’t see them trading the 1st that I’m almost certain of. I think they need JT in the worse way. Granted they need Hedman just as bad, but at this juncture the franchise needs a jolt. Literally it’s do or dime for this franchise. Can’t see them giving up picks for Kessel, i could be wrong on that if they feel like they kicked ass in this years draft then maybe they would be willing to give up those picks for him.

BTW- I believe Colliton signed over in Europe….
